I stopped painting my nails almost two years ago due to autoimmune disease, fibromyalgia, and arthritis causing hand dexterity issues and making it difficult for me to hold nail polish brushes steady and comfortably. I’ve been painting my nails for years and it was tough and quite sad to admit to myself that I wasn’t able to paint them anymore.
I saw a video from a woman with hand dexterity problems that recommended By Storm tools for makeup. When I had a look at the tools, I saw they could also be used for holding nail polish brushes. The Betty tool has made painting my nails more accessible and makes me more confident holding the brushes and controlling them. It’s super simple to use and I’ve used it to paint nail polish and open lip glosses, but it would be very easy to use to hold brushes and open makeup tubes with wands.
The Betty is a bit pricey but the silicone feels top quality and is smooth and pleasant to the touch. It also comes in a satin bag to keep it clean and protected between uses. I’d 100% recommend this to anyone looking for a more ergonomic way to do their makeup or nails.

My 19 year old daughter has Cerebral Palsy and struggles with her pincer grip. The Betty has allowed her to put on makeup like mascara that she wouldn't have bothered putting on until now. It was all too hard. Keep coming up with good ideas that make a difference Celeste!
