Eyebrow Colour for Silver/Grey Hair: What Actually Works
Your hair went grey. Your brows are still making up their minds. Here's which shade to use in the meantime.
Start with the brow hair you've actually got
Your hair and brows don't always go grey at the same rate. Pick the shade based on your brows, not your hair.
- Silver or white hair, grey brows: Grey. Keeps everything cool and consistent.
- Salt-and-pepper hair, dark brows: Grey for a softer result. Medium Brown for more depth.
- Grey hair, pale brows: Blonde. It works with the lighter hairs instead of fighting them.
- Warm dyed hair, greying brows: Match the hair closest to your face, not the ends.
Your brows don't have to match your hair
They can sit a shade darker than your hair. That's what gives your face some shape. Once you've applied it, step back and look at your whole face. If your brows are the first thing you see, brush them through or take a little off. You're going for defined, not drawn on.

Pencil for the gaps, tinted gel for hold
Both slot into the brow routine you already have. No new skills required.
- Dot to Dot in Grey fills sparse or patchy bits. Use the slanted side to fill, the tip for detail, then brush through.
- Bring Back The Bush in Grey tints and holds the hairs you've already got. If your shape's already there, brush it through and you're done.
Want shape and hold? Pencil in the gaps first, then gel over the top.

So, what colour should grey brows be?
Grey, most of the time. Blonde if your brows are pale. Medium Brown if they're still dark and you want to keep some of that depth.
